Walk in or appointment

valentino199's Avatar
Since I'm new to this forum i wanted to ask the seasoned hobbyist...when going to Amp, are you doing it as a walk-in or are you calling ahead for an appointment? And are you asking at that time for a particular girl?
Also, i would greatly appreciate any advice, tips and things you look out for while or before visiting an Amp. Things that sound your alarm bells.
Thanks guys.

Check out the 1st Time at an Amp thread that's pinned at the top of the forum. Should answer most of your questions. If not that, then google will.

Walk in vs. appointment is personal preference. Ochiyo's advice: Don't be afraid. If you don't like who greets you, ask if anyone else is working. Bad answer, then leave.

Thanks Ochiyo. I read the "1st time at an Amp" and I admit, there's already a lot of good advice in there.

I just wanted to see what others look out for, be cautious about, deal breakers, and practices that they use and follow, that work well for them.

I do walk ins every once in a while but I will walk if they don't meet my preference in looks so don't be afraid to walk out. For the most part I make an appointment with a specific provider that I already know or one that is recommended to me by pm or by a review.

As for alarm bells,
1. Is the lobby and bathroom clean? I always visit the bathroom prior to the massage and if it's not clean I'll leave.
2. Dumpy clothing of who greets me.
3. Smell. I don't like smelling food they cook in the back.
4. Is it cool inside when you enter in the summer or warm in the winter?
Lastly...do they seem happy to see you when you walk in ? Or seem rushed or put out that another monger has come to visit?

I would reiterate as well to not be afraid and to walk out. Be respectful, but firm. And don't accept any crazy requests for $, like $100 for a normal L1.

It's about your own mood and desire at the time. If you don't walk in, you never find a gem. If you make appointments with ladies you only read about, you will most often be disappointed.

If I've heard something good about someone from here, I might call in advance to see if she's working and the time that I want to come in she's available. Usually, if you ask for her by name and are on time, she will not take another appointment.

Ntxguy's list of things to look for is a good one. For me, if a place smells when I walk in, appointment or no, color me gone.
My advice would be to research a provider that you want to see, and make appointment in advance, so you get to see the girl you are interested in..
So far all good advice, but I'll add my 2 cents. I don't think appointments are required for normal AMP experiences unless you are wanting to see a specific provider. Then you can call on your way or even from the parking lot to see if they are availalbe. My first time I called to make an appointment with no specific provider, they don't take any information, and just say come on in.

Read reviews before you go. I'm constantly running searches in my area for provider reviews. This gives you an idea of what to expect for the menu. You can also use this information to ask for someone specific when you arrive. Even if it's your first time and that person isnt' available you're likely to get a great experience either way.

Lastly, in my experience the person that greets you is typically your MT. If you don't like the way they look, ask nicely if anyone else is availalbe or you can preface it by saying "I was here a couple weeks ago and there was a young girl." This will give you a chance to see the lineup, if it's a Saturday there could be 3-4 girls there. Weekeday morning maybe 1 or 2.
