9/11

As we are all aware, this weekend will mark the 10 year anniversary of the darkest day in our young countries history...

I just want to take a moment and thank each and everyone of our men and women who have served this country in any of the military branches, or as a first responder in any way...

Please take a moment out to remember all those who perished on this day...

FDNY 343... god speed........

Yes, everyone please take a moment to reflect on those that perished, served and sacrificed on this day, as well as their friends and families. It was a dark time in our country's history and we can never forget.

I am still haunted by 9-11. I volunteered down there shortly after. The sights, sounds, looks of despair and desperation on faces were surreal. The worse for me was the smell- an odor worse than death.

The Thursday after 9-11 was actually the worse day. It poured that day and all hope of rescue was simply lost. In retrospect, it was false hope but it was something for the families and rescue workers.

Then there was Anthrax....
