Smithton

Hey guys, i am planning to be in smithton for work and wanted to see what’s around there. What is there to do? Anything fun and exciting? Should i just stay in downtown Pitts instead?

There is that strip club there which I have no information on. I would stay in Downtown Pittsburgh

I believe Stoneys brewery was there.

It was indeed. Also the classic Magic Lantern theatre that played current x-rated movies on the big screeen in the 70's. Saw "The Devil in Miss Jones" and quite a few other classics at that theatre.

True,Stoney's brewery used to be there{the building looks like it is ready to collapse}, not much in the area. Belle Vernon is close by, check the sites, there are a few gals who have ads in that area.

the Highway playground used to be out there. that place was a dump but a bunch of guys i worked with at a gas station used to go there every friday night

Many great eating places Belle vernon to Greensburg. Hi all. Try heD keepers in Greensburg and latavola New Stanton. Smithton. New bar just opened. Filly corral dennys n truck Stop. Welcome.

The Highway Playground, right off the Yukon exit/Route 70 had a depraved (and excellent!) "speakeasy" type of vibe, or like the original establishment in the movie "Porky's". A large wooden shack right off the highway. Open late hours seven days a week. Served a purpose admirably....!

No "extras" on the premises, at least not that I was aware of. I "pitched" several dancers and closed "off-site" deals with a few of them. Plenty of reasonable-priced motels in the area. All in all the HP was a worthy establishment. When HP switched owners circa 2009 they offered free beer from a keg, and for a while until sun-up on weekends. I saw several bar-room brawls between drunk male customers, and before the 2009 era new owners brought in the bouncers. Varied entertainment on and off the stage....!

If looking for good places to eat Mt Pleasant, Greensburg areas are close and are full of great family owned restaurants.
If looking for ass ………………stay in city. It’s a barren wasteland out here unless you take a chance and hit an AMP

Since I've lived in Westmoreland for the past 40+ years, things related to the hobby have been getting progressively worse.Seems like South Hills is your best bet.

The Trocadaro motel and lounge in the Belle Vernon area. Rumor had it if both hands, on the neon sign, were playing the bongos, on the neon sign, that female workers were available. Infact RUMOR had it Eleanor Schano, for those old enough to recall that name, was one of them. I can’t confirm that.

Eleanor Schano was a good looking girl.

Amy was from Smithton. Boy do I miss her.
