hey 78704 have you always had invites to give or did you eventually get some invites after a time unlike gmail which I've always had invites. i know i hear google is a bit stingy with voice invites
If someone that knows more about this and has the time to put some details down on how to use it with regards to a hobby phone, would you please consider putting a tutorial together for those of us that are clueless? Maybe post it in the technical area or national forum?
It sounds like a great thing, but I am technology impaired. for instance one thing I was worried about is Gmail was notorious for sharing popular contacts and such with "buzz" and i was worried they may do the same thing with voice. sorry if that is a silly concern, but you do sort of have to ask what the cons are and why is Google offering this service. Do they have a vested interest that may conflict with our need for discretion?
I got mine after a few weeks.

I got some after a few weeks, gave them away; got some more after a few more weeks, just gave them (3) away this morning.
Done.

Warning! Be very careful with the settings, I inadvertently checked it to leave VM message and my real cell was being answered with "Hello this is SP, I'm not available". Took me about 1/2 hr to fix my mistake.
Not so sure about this feature
Record calls: record phone calls and store them online
Ok, here is the deal. Providers, if you call a guy (me, or any other hobbyist) back on their google voice number, it will ask you to state your name. It is an automated system, so you will know it is google voice. Just an FYI, because this is my new hobby phone number!
WOOHOO!
Thanks again 78704
