Another season gets underway.

First preseason game is tonight vs the Buccaneers.

What are you hoping to see tonight? This season?
What I'm hoping to see is a Superbowl victory, as I do every year.
What I'm expecting is a lot less.

Nice way to start a preseason game. 3 a d out for the defense. 3 first downs and a TD from Pickett to Pickens.

And the extra point bounced in off the post. Not bad, boys.

Great throw by Pickett on the touchdown.
First preseason couldn’t have gone better. An early, great showing from Kenny & company with some nice flashes from McFarland, Warren, Pickens and Calvin Austin. And also our new linebackers looked great!!

Updated injury report

Defensive tackle Keeanu Benton, cornerback Duke Dawson and linebackers Nick Kwiatkoski and Chapelle Russell all left early in Tampa Bay, with none of the four returning. Benton suffered an ankle injury, Dawson a knee, Kwiatkoski a shoulder and Rusell a knee as well.

Lavert Hill added at CB. Feel bad for Duke Dawson, but that's how the pro game works. Hope he heals up, I liked him.

The Pittsburgh Steelers shuffled the back end of their cornerbacks corps during an idle day from training camp, signing former Michigan and XFL standout Lavert Hill on Monday.

The 5-foot-10, 190-pound Hill had two interceptions and 25 tackles in 10 games for the St. Louis Battlehawks this spring. He had six interceptions and 20 passes defensed over 32 games his final three college seasons, earning first- or second-team all-Big Ten recognition each time.

But Hill, 24, went undrafted and bounced around between five other NFL teams without making it into any regular-season games. Though most of his NFL preseason and college action has come as an outside corner, Hill does have experience in the slot/nickel position. He most recently was with the Cleveland Browns last summer.

The Steelers waived Isaiah Dunn and waived/injured Duke Dawson on Monday
Disappointed that Larry Ogunjobi is walking around in a boot! The foot injury goes back a couple years and is why he failed his physical when he was almost signed by Chicago a year ago.
This looks like an injury that never goes away. Sucks
I went to Latrobe to watch a practice. Darnell Washington looks like a steal.
I am concerned Tomlin won’t admit that Najee might just be average. Warren needs to play more this year! I’ve heard he will, but I’m not sure.

I’m curious how or if Najee plays. There’s more and more people who aren’t sure he’s our best running back.
I usually don’t go to preseason but I’m heading down tomorrow.

Liked most of what I saw tonight.

Really like Washington.

Once again, someone needs to teach some of these guys to tackle instead of dive at ankles.

Running game needs work. Green shouldn't be on the team.
