Chica Bonita Cover Charge?

Pretty sure I got the white boy upcharge at this joint tonight. They charged me 17 to get in. That can’t be correct right?
It's been $12 usually for me. But I usually go during the day. If you're not considering the parking fee, then it seems inflated. Otherwise, $12 cover and $5 parking is what I've paid at daytime.
It was 14 when I went yesterday and like 17 the time before.

$10 to park... I'm thinking the time and the day matter.
no that's correct and I'm not white lol. i actually went twice on Friday, early afternoon and later at night. My first time there and was off.

I went at 2:30 and it was $12, I went back again at midnight and it was $17 and i did the $5 parking both times. I'll be putting up my review later

If you want free parking, park on the marked areas in the recessed spaces on Denton Street, and walk across the back part of the CB lot. Be advised: if it has rained recently, that part of the lot is sloppy-muddy.
I went last Tuesday around 2:30 and it was $14.. then they demanded tip as well

What an odd amount

Must say 17 is a lot for that hole in the wall place. Overhead is virtually non-existant, relatively speaking. Insides remind me of a glorified chicken coup with a stripper pole stuck in the middle. Even got the chicken laying hotbox in the corner where white things are being excreted out of body holes. We need to officially rename this place “Chicken Bonitas”. Haha

Lots of talk going on about CB. Do you see more white guys going in now? LOL
I think they now charge more because of the tire repair service they are offering for those that bravely use their parking lot.

Wtf. Polltax? So for every person entering the door they have to pay 10?
So many questions. Then how can BDD only charge 3 cover? How is this enforced? And why does CB check license what are the doing? I thought it was a county thing as when go to SC in Tarrant county they ask for license, but CB in Dallas county is the only one that requires ID. Why? Are they scanning it into system for what purpose? And btw, if they do in fact supposed to pay 10 per patron getting everyone’s license into system is a sure fire way to ensure there’s an audit trail so they have to pay for every one. BD who knows how many people go in a out, they could lie like waitresses claiming less tips on their income tax. I had no idea of this poll tax.

Clubs are required to keep a head count of people entering. The state does audits typicaly from the parking lot. Also, way too low head count for the amount of taxes paid would be a red flag as well. And the club wants to know how many people come in and and at what time anyway.

The club does not have to pass that charge on to the customers. Some clubs just eat it as a way to get more people in the door.

EX: That $3 cover at BDD gets a lot of folks in the door. The club then makes it up on sales. There are a number of reasons they don't have drink specials and charge top dollar for their drinks

A club may scan DL's for a number of reasons. Proof of age check, miss-use of VIP membership, etc.

Quote from Texas state law "Businesses selling alcohol or tobacco are expressly authorized to access electronically readable information on IDs for purposes preventing unlawful sales or establishing an affirmative defense against a charge of unlawful sale."

There are strict limits on what info they are allowed to retain from the DL.

When I go I’m older, white, and very tall. I stick out like a sore thumb. And the ladies are on me like white on rice to deplete my wallet as quickly as they can.
