Trump promises 'largest deportation operation in American history'

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-12-...tion/103241936

Speaking at a rally in Reno, Nevada, Mr Trump also called US President Joe Biden a "low-IQ individual" and the "worst, most incompetent and most corrupt president" in the history of the United States.

That's an ad-hominem argument if I ever saw one! Nothing like a personal attack on the opposing individual by a 74 year old turd! I would imagine that from a toddler 70 years younger, but not a grown adult. Grow up, trumpster

One day earlier, the former president said that undocumented immigrants were "poisoning the blood of our country",
Ah yes, the land of the free. The American Dream. I suppose that his grandparents aught to had been deported as well? They were looking for a brighter future, too! Friedrich Trump and Elisabeth Christ, immigrated to the United States from Germany in 1885.

Mr Trump also bemoaned the soaring US stock market, saying it only makes "rich people richer".
He predicted three years ago that if Democratic Mr Biden won the White House in 2020 markets would crash
The Dow Jones Industrial Average hit a record high last week, topping 37,000 and surpassing the previous record set in 2022.
In a 2020 debate with Mr Biden, Mr Trump said that if Mr Biden won the election, "the stock market will crash".
Mr Biden last week mocked him over the prediction.
Mr Trump often took credit for a rising stock market when he was president between 2017 and 2021.
In an attempt to give a populist and anti-Biden twist on the new record stock market high, Mr Trump, a self-described billionaire, told supporters in Nevada: "The stock market is making rich people richer."
"Biden's inflation catastrophe is demolishing your savings and ravaging your dreams," Mr Trump said.
"We are a nation whose economy is collapsing into a cesspool."

Ok, I'll give him one point. He got two things right.

You go ahead and deport the illegal workers, you're going to see that all the rural, red states that depend on immigrants for seasonal labor are going to be suffering on the bottom line.
But that involves critical thinking, which he has clearly shown the inability to do

'Damn illegals, they come over to work. Now they're gone and I can't find anyone to work. Damn illegals'
I have no problem with people coming over the correct way. Not just walking across the damn border. Also, the shear numbers is outrageous.
It’s completely out of hand. And what’s coming over from the Mexican border illegally isn’t all Mexicans. That alone should push the pause button.

I too, do not wish to have people illegally entering the country, working, and living, if they are not on the route to citizenship. But think about it from the other side of the fence. If you were facing hardship, homelessness, or death from your home, what better alternative would there be than to try to go to the United States?

Trump saying garbage, racist stuff like build a wall, deport them, only does nothing but fuel the racist rhetoric that his camp already believes in.

Then, when they actually do start to deport people and lock down the boarder, keeping the 'undesirables' out of the country, be they here legal or not, the people who suffer the most are those who depend on seasonal labor, and the 'undesirables' who are actually natural born citizens.

I find it incredibly ironic, that anyone who's ancestry can NOT be traced back to the 13 colonies wants to make it harder to immigrate to the country. Because you, like it or not, are a 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc generation immigrant. This includes Trump, who is a second generation German immigrant.

But, that's just how they roll. Freedom for me, hardships for thee
... Nice platitudes there, mate.

But they surely don't mean much... Either the country has
actual immigration Rules and Laws or it don't.
Aint no in-between...

Letting illegal people just walk right in
and NOT enforcing border laws is a crime in itself.

And Mayorkis and Biden will be held to accounte for this come 2025.

He's literally paraphrasing Hitler at his hate rallies now. Scary shit that ⅓ of the country still thinks this guy is fit to be dog catcher, let alone POTUS.

Gaslighting is all that Trump and the majority of conservative news organizations know how to do. They are claiming the "end is near", and that anyone / everyone, other than them are bad. They, and they alone are the salvation and cure to the ails of the USA. When in reality, the pride of the USA and strength of us, is when we lean on each other, and encourage each other, and permit each other to be the best they can be.

Given the state of partisan opinions in our country, with one party diametrically opposed to whatever the other party promotes, voters are being manipulated and gaslighted to such extent that many no longer can trust their judgment or discern fact from fiction.

Gaslighters claim to know a person better than they know themselves. They assert the abnormal is “normal,” so the person questions their sanity. Gaslighters overlook their own misdeeds but expound on transgressions of their victims, triggering depression. They force them to lie repeatedly so that they no longer know truth from falsehood.

Malignant narcissists are both manipulators and gaslighters! Sound like anyone in particular??

The condemnation of entire races, or ethnicities is truly the most grandiose example of some of this stupid manipulation.

Or the result.

But I'm seeing the other polls - where Trump is WINNING!

So let's look at the actual polls on illegal immigration.

Do you think people agree-with Trump on the issue
and might like to see the lot of illegal entrants sent home?

Gentlemen thread is about deportation
... You either have Rules and Laws on Immigration or you don't.
As I mentioned - Aint no in-between.

... Please explain, lads - WHY illegal immigrants who pour
into the country SHOULD NOT be deported.

... Lemme throw-in the "businesses need workers" argument
can be filled with LEGAL immigrants.

However even the GOP is voting to make immigration harder, because they 'aren't like us'

Because this country is a country of immigrants. If you are not a native american, or directly related to the British colonists from the 18th century, you are descended from immigrants. America had always been the country that accepts everyone, regardless of race, religion, or nationality. By closing our boarders to people, we turn into nothing better than China, North Korea, or Russia.

Everyone with any semblance of intelligence can see that the GOP is pushing to stop immigration, deport undesirables, etc, as a means to distract the public from the real threat - the GOP.

If its not the illegals coming over from Mexico, it's the Mexican people who are legally here. If it's not the Mexicans, it's the blacks. If it's not the blacks, its the poor. If it's not the poor, it's the uneducated. If it's not the uneducated, it's someone who isn't like you. You are the best, you are perfect. Everyone who isn't like you, they are dangerous. They need to go. That's the GOP rhetoric. Deportation of 'illegals', or rather, undesirables, is only the first layer. Always has been. It is by far to cast a group people as undesirable if they don't look like you, if they don't talk like you. If they don't have traditions like you. If they aren't like you.

So again, if you aren't Native American or descended from the British who colonized this land in the 1700s, and you are talking about deporting people who don't belong here, by all means, volunteer and go back to the country that your great/great/grand/parents came over from. Set an example!
