Well either the interpreter racked up several million in gambling debts or he was placing bets for Ohtani. I’m not sure how much an interpreter gets paid, but if I had to guess which of the two might have been more likely to be gambling millions of dollars, I would be pretty suspicious that the guy who signed the 9-digit contract might be the one.
He’s only in trouble if there’s a clause that’d get his contract canceled.
