Millionaires and billionaires should be okay, and it's supposed to be temporary. We'll see how bad it gets and how long temporary is. Of course, POTUS47 may just keep things as is with some tweaks here and there.

For non-millionaires and non-billionaires, see below.

Some have been complaining about the price of eggs, and gas, so as of 09/24 the US average ( https://data.bls.gov/toppicks?survey=ap )...
Bacon $6.95 per pound
Eggs $3.821 per dozen
Gasoline $3.344 per gallon

Housing has also been mentioned as a concern. From https://www.redfin.com/news/data-center/
Median Sale Price (US) $429K

Median Asking Rent All Beds (US) $1631

Most of us (consumers and non-landlords) are hoping prices will come down. We'll see.

I'm not going to hope for things to turn to shit (and stay there), but if they do, remember what you voted for. Own it if it happens.
Trump and the republicans promised lower prices. People will expect lower prices. That’s what they voted for and what the republicans ran on.

Local business folks, retailers, shippers, wholesalers, and manufacturers are tired of being jacked over by govt regs the Dims have put in place last 4 yrs. Excuse them if they wait until next year to see what govt actually does.

It's an old belief, but it might not have any data to support it.

Anyway, here are some year end prices (December 2024). Let's see how the next administration brings them down, or not.

Bacon: 6.915
Eggs: 4.146
Gas: 3.277
House: My source glitched. Might have to stick with bacon, eggs, and gas.
The left believes that Trump should be able to change things overnight...what juvenile thinking.

Inflation will get worse and with Trump touting higher tariffs equates to higher prices for you and me for goods and services in the economy. Don't be fooled. When this stock market eventually crashes and the dust settles, the next reinflation of the market upwards will send inflation soaring to sky high levels. I believe WE haven't seen anything yet. It's going to get worse is what I believe.

The answer is the Nuclear Powered Printing Press.

The Stock Market doesn't really like dramatic change and uncertainty. So that change will cause plenty of fodder for the see the sky is falling crowd that ignored the obvious inflationary result the " Inflation Reduction Act " was going to cause.

I'm against all farm subsidies, not because I assume you are a farmer based on your name. Lets see how many red farming states vote republican when all farm subsidies are ended. We put tariffs on China and had to quadruple our farm subsidy to like 50 billion cause the demand for our crops went down. I don't hate farmers either, they do important and very hard work in a lot of times harsh conditions. I grew up around in more rural KS around farmers. I was never interested in that type of work, but enjoyed seeing what they did from day to day.

There is a lot more to say, but probably need a new discussion about it.
Careful Roy, I hope you had a full stomach when you said that. Farmers are VERY important and I compare them to oxygen, nobody notices them until there is a shortage.

Why should we tariff an importer on food then turn around and give 50 billion in subsidies cause we just screwed the farmer? This is way over simplified but that's the basics. It is an anti-regulation. This is one way Republicans buy votes, keep the farmers happy. That's why when you see a red/blue map, all the farmland is red. And they don't deal with big city problems like pollution where a lot of environmental regulations are needed. So it is easy for a farmer to hate regulations out in the middle of nowhere with clean air to say regulations suck.

Books can be written on this stuff, but I have more important things to do like go fuck a cute little Asian hooker. lol
