Weight training anyone?

Anyone else into working out at the gym? I've been working out regularly for the last several years. I've definitely seen the benefits. Gain muscle, lose fat, increased metabolism, eating better, etc. Being in shape definitely helps not only physically, but mentally too. I also think the ladies appreciate a guy who is in shape.

Chime in if you work out regularly.

If you are interested in starting, I can pm you with some good book recommendations on nutrition and weight training.
I will back up my buddy Txhunter on this one. You can never go wrong with working out. I was thinking on posting a thread similiar.
Compete on the national amateur level in bodybuilding as well as powerlifting events for fun. Not too great at the power lifting thing yet.

I typically lift twice a week unless I am less than 2 weeks out from a race. I am a triathlete so between swimming, biking, running, and lifting I put in around 10 hours a week. If I am training for an Ironman, It will go up to 15-20 hours.

When I lift, I do a full body workout. I will do 1 set of 20 reps, on each exercise, as fast as I can while keeping good form.

I workout 5-6 days per week, cardio for 40 plus min and weights. Allows me to stay in physical & mental shape.
Did the Insanity workout in Feb and March. Got the t-shirt, too. Lost 25 lbs., 6" from the waist. Then did the P90X workout from April to June. Now I alternate between the two, say 4-5 days a week. Love the P90X Ab Ripper. Great thing is, you don't need to go to a gym.
Yep, the ladies like the energy and stamina.

Want a good pre workout regiment?

Try 200mcg IGF-DES 20 minutes before
250mcg Follistatin 344 - 6 hours before
250mcg ACVR2B - 6 hours before

Don't waste your time with those bullshit "pre workout" supplements

Ha! I have had good results with NO products that contain creatine. It aint bullshit if you know how to take them and you are on a proper diet and strength training regimen. If you fully understand what the products are meant to do....then you can understand better. But, being in my late 20's...no need for any test products.

An increased pump from NO products does not result in better gains in the gym.

Your obviously a "natural/beginner" athlete judging by your picture (no offense intended) , the only time any sort of blood saturation in a muscle would result in a proliferation of nutrient uptake is if you are heavily saturated with anabolics, IGF, and is achieved through the use of insulin.

I won't ever waste my time with a NO product junk nor any of the other competitors I know.

As far as the age thing, you understand your body produces the equivelant of 65-85mg of testosterone per week. Usually 80-90mg per week in your teen years. This is a nominal amount. I stay on around 1,000mg per week year round minimum. Your natural amount and the age thing really isn't as big of a deal as most people make it out to be. Once your natural levels decline you will be in the 45-60mg range. If I don't notice a difference between 1,000mg and 2,000mg the chances of you noticing a 20mg drop isn't going to happen

Start check out more advanced bodybuilding forums and get some products/training/diet info of quality bud! Shoot me a PM if you would like and I will point you in the right direction.

workout 4-5 days /week

degree in Exercise Science

spent 4 years as a personal trainer

Currently work for a supplement company

Most pre-workouts are just full of stims -- pop a 200mg caffeine pill if you really need the energy.

NO -- "Pumps" have more to do with your pre-workout meal, hydration level , and workout regimen. (Al tho nitrates seem promising --still doing my research)

@Apollo --- straight creatine mono will save you big $
guys no need to debate methods. Overall working out is a good thing. Just want hobbiest and providers to consider taking time out for their bodies. I myself weight train plus cardio 3 days a week allowing a day in between and 1 day of just cardio. Also my diet is a work in progress lol. I don;t eat pizza nor do i eat fries.
