8 Minutes-Saving Prostitutes In Houston

Anybody remember the show "8 Minutes", which aired briefly in 2015 and was filmed in Houston? The show aired on A & E and involved a preacher who tried to "rescue" Backpage girls from the evils of prostitution by having them come to his hotel rooms where he was given 8 minutes to reform them. He would get their numbers from BP ads and when they arrived at the room, they would basically be confronted.


A lady I saw recently told me she was involved in one of those interventions although she doesn't know if they actually used her segment on the show. The show only ran 5 episodes before it was pulled off the air due to controversy about it's methods. Like most reality shows, it was at least partially staged and some of the women came forth later to state that it wasn't spontaneous and that they were approached beforehand about appearing and promised help and support in leaving the lifestyle, which never came.



I couldn't find any episodes online anywhere and there's not too much information about it anymore. Anyway, I wondered if anyone had any memories of the show or knew anyone who took part in it.
