Question please, are things back to normal in Dallas after covid?

I used to visit Dallas weekly before covid and it was a paradise. Covid shutdown every place I went to and some never returned. I was wondering if places like the Amps are the same again or is that gone for good? I hope this is the correct forum to ask this question. I do not live there so I am not up to date on what all goes on. Since I am not there I cannot post reviews to get special access to the secrets.

Dallas recovered from covid years ago. Regarding amps, Leo shut down all of them. Only thing left are the subamps and a lot of them are under pressure to close as well.

Recovered from Covid? Yes. Recovered from the legal onslaught directed at the hobby on a federal, state and local level that began in 2018? No.

Not sure about the hobby and COVID. To me that’s back to normal. But lots of folks are working remote. Probably permanently. And commercial rests, especially the middle aged low end rents are lower. Class A office space is still thriving, but in the tiers below that it’s a buyer’s market.

In some submarkets Class A office is doing well, but submarkets negatively affected by WFH (like downtown Dallas, or Houston’s energy corridor) vacancies are still very high.

I agree with TTH, though, that WFH has definitely changed the hobby by making it difficult for guys to get away to play. That was precipitated by Covid, so that part of the OP’s question I suppose can be answered “no”, and likely will continue to be the case…perhaps forever, perhaps only until we see a Great Recession-like decline in employment that allows employers to finally have the upper hand in forcing office-workers back to the office on a full-time basis.
Thanks for the update everyone. 100% of everything in my life that has brought me happiness is gone. If I never liked amps they would be better than ever. I travel the country and perhaps I may not know the secrets but I never seen any other straightforward amps in other cities that provide the same quality as Dallas before Covid. Some may have a woman or two that go above and beyond but it's not like a guaranteed deal like back in the day

Sad to hear that. For me, the changes have allowed more balance in my life and my need for hobby visits has dwindled. I’m increasingly becoming more of an observer than a participant, although I do find the need to scratch that itch every once in awhile lol.
