Leadership void - California fires

Have you ever seen a greater void of leadership than LA mayor Karen Bass? Partner her with Gavin Newsome and you really have something.

She was asked a couple of questions about this catastrophe and literally wouldn’t or couldn’t say a word. Stunning incompetence.

Another great Democrat leader has arrived.

In Ghana, drinking with the new President.

Nero fiddled as Rome burned.

And, sometimes you get EXACTLY what you voted for, an incompetent DEI candidate.

But its all Trumps fault, and, waiting for the usual TDS nuts to claim it.

From Foxnews.

Los Angeles' budget is in the spotlight as multiple wildfires rage around the city amid revelations that Mayor Karen Bass slashed the fire department's budget last year while prioritizing spending on the city's homeless population.

For the 2023-2024 fiscal year, Los Angeles budgeted $837 million for the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), which was roughly 65% the size of the homeless budget of $1.3 billion.

It’s amazing that she didn’t immediately get on a plane.

... Bass had NO ANSWERS - NONE - when being asked about this.
How sad...

And Newsom? ... His political career or what's left of it - IS OVER.
Finished. ... All done. ... Any thoughts he may have slipping into
a Senate seat - or the 2028 Presidential nomination ARE OVER.

... Just a reminder that Newsom should have listened to Trump.

I have no problem with anybody’s sexual preference, race, etc.

I have a very big problem if the above is why they were hired. Let’s look at 3 senior leaders of the LA fire department + 1 more LA government leader. You decide.

1. Kristin Crowley - First LGBTQ Fire Chief - $439,772/yr - Harvard Business School. Mission - "the creation of systemic equity and inclusion across the LAFD"

2. Kristina Kepner - first Lesbian Assistant Chief LAFD - Harvard Kennedy School for Managing Diverse Organizations

3. Kristine Larson - LAFD’s first lesbian Equity Bureau Chief - $399,000/yr. Co-founder of Equity on Fire. Got the job by constantly accusing the LAFD of being racist and sexist

4. JANISSE QUINONES is the New Head of L.A. Department of WATER and Power. She was recommended to the position by Mayor Karen Bass back in May 2024. She makes $750,000 a year — nearly TWICE as much as her MALE predecessor.

"Currently, as much as 30 percent of firefighting crews in California are made up of incarcerated people who earn between $5.80 and $10.24 a day to fight fires, with the potential to earn an additional $1 per hour during emergencies, according to the Los Angeles Times."

How do they keep these convicts from fleeing? Do they have to wear leg irons while they're fighting the fires?

Thanks for exposing this incredible corruption, Gristle!

Inmates fighting fires isn’t a bad idea imo. Put on a gps monitor and send them in, might as well get something out of all the money it costs to keep them locked up.

Let 'em stick to stamping out license plates.
