Text message contact

I have been a member of this site since days of Amber and aspd…I have been in CN for several years, but with the change of administrative I see more business tips to Houston and DFW area. However I have noted a lot of providers are asking for text communication. My cell is company phone so obviously I am not going to text using it. Some of my hobby buddies have a hobby phone but I refuse to add that extra baggage. In the past I have made initial contact via eccie etc…then follow up with call from my hotel ( I normally do only outcall)….that seems to fall in the too difficult category for some providers….why is that?

You could always use Google Voice. That’s what I do. I’ve seen a lot of folks use WhatsApp as well.

Agreed. If company phone is an iPhone, I'd just get the google voice app (signed up with a burner gmail account) and delete it off your phone when not using it.

Go to wall mart and buy a burner phone for cheap. Add minutes as you need them and if you are ever worried about getting caught, just throw it away. You don't have to worry about someone looking in your work phone.
