The NY Post stated they were dead and drowned in their vehicle.

Other outlets haven't reported that. Trump indicated that he hadn't been briefed.

NATO chief Mark Rutte appeared to confirm the deaths of the four soldiers during an appearance in Warsaw on Wednesday, before a spokesperson for the alliance clarified that the secretary-general "was referring to emerging news reports and was not confirming the fate of the missing, which is still unknown."
This is troubling and sad.

The Polish are helping as well, not just the Lithuanians.

That sucks. We have been there for a while. Just a reminder that the military does not top the list of safest jobs. We lose a lot of members just due to the nature of their non-combat work.

What has the Turd Reich Sid bout this?

Maybe the 20-something blow up fuckdoll has a take?

She seems more self confident than the naked emperor.

I’m truly interested in what the investigation will reveal. How exactly did a 63-ton M88A2 Hercules armored recovery vehicle end up in fifteen feet of water, silt and mud.

Karoline Leavitt says 4 US Soldiers who went missing were just Confirmed Dead in Lithuania

She didn’t provide any details as to what happened… but here are the details.

• The four U.S. soldiers who died in Lithuania were members of the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, based at Fort Stewart, Georgia.

• They went missing during a military training exercise on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, near Pabadre, Lithuania.

• The soldiers were reportedly operating an M88A2 Hercules, a heavy armored recovery vehicle designed to tow tanks, during a NATO training exercise.

• The vehicle became submerged in a swampy area under several meters of water, likely due to the challenging terrain.

• Three of the soldiers’ bodies were found inside the M88A2 when it was pulled from the swamp on Monday, March 31, 2025, reported by the U.S. Army.

• The search for the fourth soldier continued, with Lithuanian Army and emergency services assisting, including building a makeshift dam to aid recovery efforts.
—— By April 1, 2025, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte confirmed that all four soldiers had died.

• The exact cause of death has not been explicitly stated, but it’s believed they likely became trapped in the swamp, potentially leading to drowning, suffocation, or hypothermia.

• The soldiers’ identities have been withheld pending family notifications, per U.S. Army protocol.
