Are trans people The new commies of the 50s and 60s

Goodness gracious seems like it.
Like commies under every rock. Very comparable to the Mccarthy era.
Do magas see trans folk in their dreams? ( that could be a different issue!) But magas are blaming trans for everything. Its all magas talk about. Trans don't even account for 1 % of our population. Yet it seems magas see them everywhere. Talk about them 24/7!
Just asking. Cause magas seem obsessed with them.
And it's all misinformation intolerance and hate rhetoric.
Good grief where is all this maga rage of trans coming from.

Yeah, like you say WD, even if you're transphobic, they're such a small % of the population. The obsession with transgenders is hard to understand.

It’s really no different from the opposition to civil rights in the 60’s and the mainstreaming of gay rights in the 90’s and the early 2000’s.

They are going to lose this battle eventually as support for the issue skews towards the younger generation.

Textbook fascism, folks. And it has been since the rise to power by the Reich.

And you're right, txdot-guy. They're scared of what they don't understand, which unfortunately (and for a lot of reasons) is most everything today.

The idea that conservatives stay up baselessly thinking about this issue is overblown rhetoric at it's finest. Most conservative people believe folks have a right to their own way of life. However, the idea that trans/drag queen story hour for kinder gardeners or trans stripper shows for pre pubescent kids are appropriate seems a step too far. Especially if parents are not given an opportunity to opt out.

Ta for now.

As an aside, I've seen 3 trans people in public in the last 10 days to 2 weeks. Highly unusual to say the least.

Fox News covers transgender issues almost twice as much as other major networks

The numbers don't lie — Fox News has an unhealthy obsession with transgender people.

Fox News spent nearly as much time covering Donald Trump's anti-transgender executive orders as CNN and MSNBC combined, according to a new report from Media Matters.

Fox News covered the orders for a total of four hours and eight minutes, compared to MSNBC's two hours and 33 minutes and CNN's two hours and nine minutes.

All three cable networks spent about the same amount of time covering the issue on their news shows, but Fox News overtook all other cable news coverage of the topic on its opinion shows, which accounted for 28 percent of all coverage of the anti-trans executive orders across the networks.

“Our study shows that Fox News, specifically its opinion shows, dominated cable news coverage of Trump's anti-trans executive orders. But this isn’t just about the volume of airtime — it’s about how coverage is framed, and Fox has a history of pushing false and baseless narratives about trans people”

Transgenderism seems to get a lot of attention in the political forums here as well. Liberals are not bringing up the issue it’s strictly a political wedge issue being pushed by the republican party.

I'm not that good with the search features on this website so that's about all the farther I'm willing to look. If you can show proof of what you wrote here have at it. Otherwise I'm calling bullshit.

A very quick perusal. It's the fabric of the MAGAsphere here on ECCIE.

Simple wedge issue, similar to gay marriage and (heaven help us all) bathrooms!

It's how the GOP gets low information voters to engage. And they've been successful at it.

The downfall of democracy ain't nothing compared to a guy with his dick cut off.

If you can prove that, have at it. But you can't.
Gay marriage is another dead issue.
Do better.

Since the usual suspects here can't seem to understand things, let's try to explain truth and reality again. The only thing conservatives have said is to keep men OUT of women's locker rooms, bathrooms, and sports teams. Keep this garbage away from elementary aged kids. Why is this so hard for the left to understand?

I bet Trump gives about as much of a damn about transgenders as I do. He knows his simpletons and how simple minded they are. Transgenders are just an easy way to have dipshits focus on stupid shit that is irrelevant to them, and he does that for misdirection IMO so they can feel like he is really doing something meaningful while he fucks up this economy.

My youngest plays volleyball. I have never had one stupid ass discussion with other parents on the team about transgenders for a reason. Why? Because it's not even worth a damn discussion because the odds are so minuscule of that happening. Hell, I wish they had some dudes on that team because her team sucks. Haha
