Sucks you didn’t see her but I don’t know that anyone is “at risk” of being scammed. Sounds like she basically just charged you a cancellation fee but wasn’t upfront about it.

No deposit was asked for until YOU made the change in plans. So she’s not out here proactively asking for deposits and then ghosting guys.

No scam, just dumb to pay a deposit, she took the money and ran, lesson learned, have an ATF and this doesn’t happen
