You could check to see if she has any reviews posted, any active websites or social media presence. It sounds like you've already taken the plunge but that is what I would do in the future to make sure you're sending your money to a legitimate person. If you can't find any of those things it's usually a bad sign

I once said I would only send $50 as a deposit and I sent it right away as we were texting and the provider was ok with that......I think they just want to make sure we are not going to ghost them and leave then waiting.
