US man who moved to Russia to escape 'LGBT indoctrination' sent to frontline

Isn't it great? I'll bet he won't be bumping in to many LGBT indoctrinators while dodging drones from Ukraine! I think all MAGAs should go support him.
I doubt we will hearing from this dipshit again.

Derek Huffman, 46, moved to Russia with his wife and four children in search of 'traditional values' and signed up to the military in order to gain citizenship

The family of an American man who relocated to Russia to flee "LGBT indoctrination" claims he has been "fed to the wolves" and sent to the frontline. Derek Huffman, 46, from Texas, relocated to Moscow in search of "traditional values" and joined the military to obtain citizenship with guarantees that he would not be assigned to a combat position.

The Huffmans relocated to a village outside Moscow established by American blogger Tim Kirby, which aims to attract families looking to escape the "liberal gender norm," and "avoid LGBTQ+ 'indoctrination'" it claims exists in the US. After initially being promised positions as a war correspondent and a vehicle mechanic, he has now received rushed combat training before a deployment to the frontline.

His wife DeAnna stated her husband "feels like he is being thrown to the wolves right now, and he is kind of having to lean on faith." She stated: "Derek was told he would not be training for two weeks and going straight to the front lines.

"But it seems as though he is getting one more week of training, closer to the front lines, and then they are going to put him on the front lines."

In a video recorded last month, Derek stated that his motivation for enlisting in the military came from an appealing signing bonus and his desire to demonstrate his value to his new country. He said: "I don't want anyone here in Russia to say that we don't belong here, so if I go put my body on the line for Russia, I defend the country, our new country, I've earned our place here."

The Huffmans capitalized on Russia's new "Shared Values" visa program which permits foreigners who are dissatisfied with their governments to seek residency if they embrace the Kremlin's moral and spiritual principles. The family has chronicled their relocation on social media and has crowdfunded their income since choosing to emigrate.

The family's romanticized expectations of Russian life and military enrollment were crushed by harsh reality.

Derek and his fellow soldiers were commanded to pay 10,000 rubles, a substantial chunk of his monthly salary, to cover their own equipment.

DeAnna has also revealed receiving no wages or bonuses following the initial month of her husband's deployment.

Derek is not the first American to discover that the Kremlin's commitments frequently remain broken.

In April 2024, Michael Gloss, the 21 year old son of a CIA executive, was killed battling in Ukraine after becoming disenchanted with the US and "the establishment".

Statistics show that more than 500 foreigners from over 25 nations have perished fighting for Russia since the full-scale invasion in 2022.
