I just don't get it, there are laws preventing the use and ownership of evil rifles in NYC, but it appears a young, black appearing young man use what looks like a supressed AR15.

How does that even happen, you can't legally buy one, let alone carry it openly on the streets of NYC?

Hundreds if not thousands of laws, and he ignored them all??????

Ridiculous, shameful, I think its fake Faux News.

Obviously the blackish dude is just a patsy, and it was retarded angry Trump supporters who actually did it.

Crazy dude with a gun. What’s hard to understand about that.

Our options are to limit gun ownership across the country or live with the fact that crazy people will eventually get a gun regardless of the laws of the state they live in because they can always go to another state to get one legally.

We need better mental health services across the country as well but if they aren’t being funded now I seriously doubt they will get any real support in the future.

It appears that both items are true. Easy to access guns in Nevada, Lack of mental health services as well.

Park Avenue Gunman Drove Cross Country Before Committing the Attack, Police Said
The police said that he had a history of mental illness documented in Nevada and that it was unclear why he targeted the building.

The gunman who killed four people and then himself inside a Manhattan office building on Monday had arrived in the city just hours before, after driving cross country for days from his home in Nevada, Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said on Monday night.

there won't be a political motive here, it'll be personnel against a company in that building

Seems the shooter may have been headed for the NFL offices and got on the wrong elevator.

Left a note talking about CTE

Essentially, you can carry a gun- but it's gotta be unloaded.

Devo- you're our gun enthusiast- what do you think happened here besides those NYC loaded gun laws being broken?

Any guesses to what set off this nuttjob?

I honestly don't see why you would bring a long rifle into an office building per se, when a 45 or desert eagle would be much easier for concealing and reloading. plus extra mags. This seems like a statement kind thing strolling up with his blaster out for all to see. Either bold or just an angry man without any concerns

All over the news, was targeting the NFL offices, over his brain damage.

Licensed security guard, likely legally bought the gun.

IF, he was diagnosed with brain damage, and had any violent tendencies he should have been flagged by the medical system.

On an AR15, the lower receiver is the firearm, unlike most firearms it has no barrel, which, has gotten cases against bad guys tossed in court, because its a confliction of laws.

Once you have the receiver, you just buy and put on the other parts, nothing else is regulated.

So, no Red Flag laws can work if a "Straw Man" buys the gun.

As I tried to point out in the OP, no amount of laws, will stop and sick person from getting a gun.

Impossible to stop, all NYC does is disarm all the sheeple from protecting themselves when the Wolf arrives.
