Democrats love living in red states because there's a better since of law and order and they're not getting taxed to death. I know of a person I look up to who took his business and his family and left Minnesota to move to Florida because he wanted to escape the nightmare the Democrats in Minnesota have created.

I live in a red state, in part because of the cost of living. However, I'm not dumb enough to not recognize it's blue states that subsidize the poor southern states. All of them consume far more in federal aid than they contribute via taxes. It's the opposite for high tax blue states like California and NY. The math is the math.

your take is slanted by political leanings and the narrative "blue states carry red states" is false and shows a lack of understanding on how the Government distributes the tax revenue it gets.


federal tax revenue is mostly a function of state population. the larger the population of a state the larger its revenue base is.



the 5 largest revenue states happens to be the 5 states with the largest population base and 2 of those 5 are Red states, Texas and Florida.



so by your logic the Top Red states are "paying" for the small blue states and the Top Blue states are paying for the small red states.
