Seeking wants face verification now

Have a basic account, nothing upgraded and today I logged on and in order to continue to use the site, it wanted access to my PC cam to verify my face.
Fuck that says I so I tried to jedi mind trick using a print out of a pic of a Japanese naval officer from WW2. No dice. Then tried a pic of a object on my phone, still no dice.
In a final attempt, I tried a full body torso shot sans face, still no go.
At that point I gave up and deleted the account. Never had much luck with this site anyway, I am convinced there are algorithms that generate "messages" to you inbox to pique your interest. Of course to communicate with said female, one must "upgrade" to premium..........you all know the drill.


Screw these so-called meet up sites. IMHO they're very cleverly designed cash machines.............for the site owner.

Sad. At one time, Seeking was pretty great. Between 2017-2019, I met a lot of college age hotties thru SA. All went to shit after Covid.

Not my experience either. While I occasionally get a pop up asking me to verify, there's an option to skip it, and go back to browsing the women. And while I agree, SA is not as great as it once was. It takes a little more work, but it's still a better option than 98% of our local option that are pro hos.

Ive had a profile for...10 years?...and I just logged in this morning and it didn't ask for webcam permission., although I haven't paid for a sub in several years. The price was ridiculous before, and now, even with a 'discount' it's $104 per month. Fuck all of that.

I was thinking about re-upping my seeking and I noticed a lot more needed now. I’m the opposite of a techy dude so maybe it was me.

I just tried to create a profile on Fetlife of all places, same deal. To verify, I had to either take a selfie with my webcam or upload my ID.


They promise that "Your ID is encrypted, secured, and never shared with anyone" but after recent apps were found to be storing ID's in unencrypted AWS buckets, I'm skeptical. I'd still be leery even if they promised to destroy everything once they verified.
