Sometimes it takes time to build a rapport if you like a person. Visiting a few times to do that, and respecting their time and service will go a long way once you meet somebody you feel comfortable with. There is a reason bartenders give free drinks to regulars. I dont go out drinking or eating unless I can afford a proper tip and respect the employees. Having been on that side of the counter when I was younger.
It sounds like a good place to visit, teasing and flirting are always an art.
