Are you still in the dark and denial? It is the law that the Speaker of the House with the Mayor are the only ones who can call out the Guard. Trump offered, that's on record. Pelosi said no. Her own daughter caught mom on camera saying this was on her for not calling out the Guard. Interesting that Pelosi had a documentary team on hand to cover a rather routine function. In Washington, D.C., the National Guard is under the command of the President, not the Speaker of the House or the Mayor. This is a unique situation compared to other states where the Governor typically controls the National Guard.

The President's authority over the D.C. National Guard stems from the fact that D.C. is a federal district, not a state.

The Mayor of D.C. can request assistance from the D.C. National Guard, but the ultimate decision to deploy them rests with the President.
