General Insult (Low Intelligence / Outdated Thinking)

• Meaning: The person is “stuck in the past,” close-minded, or lacking basic awareness

Social Etiquette / Relationship Context

• Meaning: Someone who lacks manners, emotional intelligence, or modern social awareness

Gender & Toxic Masculinity Context

• On social media, “Neanderthal” is often used to mock hyper-masculine behavior or “caveman logic,” especially when men act possessive, aggressive, or resistant to progressive gender norms

Lately, the term is trending more on social media when mocking outdated gender roles, anti-science attitudes, or socially unaware takes. It overlaps with terms like:

• “Caveman” → primitive and unrefined
• “Boomer” → out of touch with modern culture
• “NPC” → lacks critical thinking“

“I can’t believe that Neanderthal is still walking around with a current references”

A Neanderthal in this industry to me is those that overpay providers, guys who desire Cim , guys who cheat on their wives or SO doing this without her blessing and allowing her to get some young penis as well and lastly those that overstay their welcome becoming mean and bitter. Male and female alike. . Especially worse with females who need this to put food on the table yet spend their time in nonsense. So that’s my answer. Such a simple business. People over complicate it then of course there are always outright liars

Nowadays "Neanderthal" also includes social board trolls. They exsist on every board, including this one. The most entertaining of which have multiple handles.
