Visiting from the South

I am pleasantly surprised to see this site is utilized in DC. I am planning to fly to DC then rent a car and visit another city or 2 within a reasonable driving distance.

Any ladies or gents care to share some suggestions on which nearby cities might be good for a traveling girl? I appreciate the information.

Richmond is a short drive south of DMV ... just don't make the drive during rush hour

It is a reasonable drive to BWI and would be another city. Many folks may consider a couple locations in DMV -- DC (Dupont Circle, etc.); Arlington/Alexandria and Tysons Corner ...
