Worst Restaurant in Pgh

Just like the title says, I’m seeking the worst restaurant in the area.

Background: My 30th anniversary is coming in a couple weeks. On our first I took her to Sheetz (we were on the road so it was convenient, and 2 hotdogs for .99 is a sweet deal) and have NEVER heard the end of it. Every year when I ask where she wants to go I get “anywhere better than sheetz”. This time I retorted that it’ll be worse, to which she replied it couldn’t be. I must prove this wrong by finding the ultimate shithole eatery in Pittsburgh.

I found this place with atrocious reviews, but it looks like just takeout and I’m trying to avoid that and fast food. Just want somewhere that’s really really bad and has awful service. The more cockroaches and health code violations the better. https://m.yelp.com/biz/tasty-platter...en-monroeville

Well, if you want to travel a bit, take a day trip to Benezette to see the Elk, and then stop at the Benezette Hotel for dinner.

I can't say its remarkably bad, but, the entire area has turned into a tourist trap, B and Bs, Winery, big campgrounds, from the rich people who have moved in to exploit the local wealth.

So, the food has followed suit, its remarkably tasteless bar food, I don't believe anything is Home made, and its relatively expensive.

I mean, Sheetz makes a great 2 for 99 dog, kraut, mustard, onions and tomatoes, but at least its cheap, the food there, not so much.

It is a beautiful drive, especially as the leaves start turning, and you are right into the heart of the PA mountains, AKA The Deer Hunter, which, was filmed in Colorado.

I rarely venture into the city anymore.

IF it was closer to Mothers day, I'd suggest the Red Lobster in Monroeville, or, the Golden Corral Buffet, the few folks who I know who have ventured there, say its quite a treat to visit, and, they have fried chicken as I understand it.

These guys liked it...

Yummmm............ Makes me think of........ Char Siu?

I did venture into the new Burger King right where Murrysville meets Monroeville, went inside to order and they completely fucked my order up, amazing service.

I know you didn't want fast food, but I had to give it an honorable mention.

I gotta admit, even though I’d likely get kicked in the balls for just smelling one, a BK whopper is a hella tasty treat.
good luck, let us know what you decide. Most terrible restaurants have closed.

Something about burping up smoke flavor, 3 hours later.

Gibsons in Penn hills. You can smell the roach shit when you walk in the door.

If you go to the Bennezette hotel you have a really good chance of seeing some big bull elk. I hunted not far from there for many years.
