Question on Attire

This may be the dumbest question ever, so apologies in advance. I'm an out of towner, but I've been to BBD several times throughout the years. I've worn shorts before, but is it too cold to wear shorts right now? I'll be in town middle of next week. If not, what's the best thing to wear for fun activities i.e. sweats, track pants, cargo pants with belt?? Help please and thank you!
Wear shorts. All pants must have belt loops, so no track pants or seat pants
Two schools of thought on this. When it’s cold you can either go with a pair of thin, loose, dark pants that allow for movement and plenty of space (don’t wear a belt). The other is to wear a pair of baggy shorts. Both options allow for fun.

The only wrinkle is that if it’s 40 degrees and you wear a pair of shorts (especially baggy shorts) everybody knows what you are there for. Now if you don’t care about what the door girls, waitresses, and other staff think of you, those baggy shorts can be a great screening mechanism. By and large you are only going to attract ladies who know what you are looking for.
I bought a pair of the cheapest, crappiest pants at WalMart made of the thinnest material known to man. Works just fine.
Thank you for the feedback, gentlemen!
