Great places to eat in Baton Rouge

As many of you know I moved to Texas but may be visiting after Christmas. Are there any great new, non-chain restaurants you can recommend?

Hey Helen, what types of restaurants do you like? They opened a Stabs on Lovett rd in central after you left. There is Blue agave Mexican in zachary that is good too. I know there are lots of new places in BR since you left. You like Ramen? Try Jinya in the mall at Perkins. Curious to see others chime in. And definitely hope you stay a little while. Might need to hear about your favorites that you tried.
