Why is this so hard?

I'm coming into town this weekend and I've been trying to get the lay of the land. My home turf is a significantly smaller just north of KC, I mean like 3.5 hrs North on I35... I digress. I thought to myself, self you're going to the big city this weekend, let's see what kind of shenanigans we can get up to.

The only responses I can reliably count on are the hotel set, and my experience has taught me that I'll probably have to escape from an old gramma type.

Most of the `local` talent returns as suspect on even the most cursory reverse image search. The few providers that come across as completely legit are well and truly outside of price range.

I'm not trying to turn this into an ISO, but I have so many questions about the KC area. For example, are the roto-types usually old ladies or is that just my experience in the smaller market?
Is $300 a reasonable upper end or am I being too cheap. I know there are plenty of providers that command a lot more, but I can usually find some pretty great experiences at the $300 - 350 rate.

I think I'm just biatching and need to get liquored up and see what's what. I'll probably just end up at an AMP where I get to pre-tip $80 for a HJ that doesn't even come with a smile.
nope, you are spot on.
it is rough to find atm or someone you know to be worth it

Most of the "talent" are ladies with incredible drama issues. And are over estimating their ability to make an encounter worth your time and hard earned wage. Honestly sometimes diy is the answer because I struggle to find anyone worth spending time with. I don’t even think I'm picky. I have now been trimmed down to one regular. And it's certainly not a short notice person.
yeah, I appreciate the sentiment. I'd just thought the scale of KC was so much bigger that things would be more straight forward. I'm sure I'll end up rolling up to some fine old lady that is trying her best, but the language barrier make communication impossible.

Do not consider Kansas City a "big city". It's barely a large village.

Just ranked 30 in the country.
