Maybe you have a source that shows anything she was “placed”.

Yes,
Gabriel Ocasio-Cortez, the younger brother of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), nominated her to run for Congress in 2016.
  • The Nomination: Shortly after Election Day in 2016, Gabriel submitted his sister's name to the Brand New Congress initiative, a group searching for progressive candidates to run against established politicians.
  • The Catalyst: At the time, AOC was working as a bartender and waitress, and her brother believed she had what it took to run for office. He felt she was a "representative" for their community who could fight for working-class issues.
  • Significance: This grassroots nomination was a key part of the story featured in the documentary Knock Down the House, which followed her 2018 upset victory against incumbent Joe Crowley.

Vance would wipe the floor with this idiot bitch in a debate.

Personally I am 100% against gerrymandering, and allowing any elected official from being involved in the election process.

Second, it would be very interesting to see AOC debate Vance. It would be refreshing to hear a pair of young people debate, instead of some decrepit old men, from either side.

he did her quite a favor actually .. saved her from a life of being a dumb cunt bartender. now she's a dumb cunt congress bitch.

Vance would wipe the floor with this idiot in a debate. do you think otherwise?

this woman once said that unemployment was low because people were working two jobs. she cost her district 100 BILLION in long term salary base by opposing Bezos and Amazon putting in a office there. all because she opposed tax breaks. apparently she is too dumb to know that tax breaks are only temporary and are commonly used to lure business into their states.

would you vote for AOC for president? against Vance? against anyone?

Seeing that it is too soon for such speculation, i'll forgo commenting on the two and waste time posting in the PF on other threads.

Democrats would be foolish to nominate AOC. She's 10X worse than Harris, and Harris lost to Trump. AOC if elected would be the only president in US history I'd want to bang though.
... Not sure WHY there's such mean-spirited rancour here.
It was a simple point - AOC v. Vance...

... And it IS too far away to give informed opinions.
But IF the Dems actually believe AOC will be their nominee
- then that's GRAND as far as I'm concerned...

She won’t be nominated.

Neither will Vance.

IMHO a Vance/Cortezx election could go either way. My remarks below could easily apply to any head to head comparison between AOC and any of the other Republican root runners at this time too.

In a debate fae off, She is about as personable in person as Vance is . . .and I mean that in contrast with Harris . . .but Vance has the edge in poise and rational presentation. Cortez often resorts to loud and righteous indignation, with inflammatory name calling. Tthat is my observation, not a declaration of fact. Others may find her to be articulate and forthright etc . . .

I do think that Vance has the edge in that while he will (I hope) continue to espouse much of the Trump agenda, he will present himself in a far more rational and n on-hysterical manner. It is my expectation that Vance will not publicly call a reporter "stupid" to their face on live TV.

As many here will recognize, my bias is towards Vance and/or any of the other Republican front runners . . .but my assessment of the next presidential election is that AOC could very well be the winner. After all, Joe Biden won.
