There is a very logical reason why, BUT...it does allow me to look at this situation dispassionately. When Beady Eyes was hired years ago, he talked about process, process, process. Present day, I don't think he inspires passion from his players. It's become "let's do it again <yawn> this year". Was it time to move on? Probably. BUT...if you're going to harp on that one play, you can't place the blame on him. Recently a former NFL player (I can't remember who) said "I wasn't coached to drop the ball...I wasn't coached to fumble the ball....I wasn't coached to throw an interception...jump off sides, etc." Last time I checked, you won by scoring more points than the other guy. You wanna give Joe Brady all the credit for success? Then he gets the blame ! If you're not a very good team, blame the guy who put together the roster.
Next....remember, that the owner is a modern-day Jed Clampett. He's ruined our environment and poisoned our water. He stood up there and embarrassed western NY. The only positive for Buffalo sports has been to keep them in town. Look at the hockey team (I can't even bear to say the name). Who's he going to blame when the Bills long for the glory years of Kay Stephenson and Hank Bullough?
