The 2026 Buccos!!!

Pitchers and catchers have reported!!!! Spring is in the air!!! For the first time in years the Pirates acted like a legitimate MLB organization in the offseason. Acquiring 3 free agent proven bats with some promising prospects. I don’t think they’re done yet. Maybe a 3rd baseman and a LHP. Their payroll now stands around $110 million. Mebbe MLB lit a fire under Nuttings ass. Who knows. As it stands, the Bucs have a legitimate MLB lineup to go with their stellar starting pitching. If Connor Griffin proves to be the real deal, playoff baseball might return to PNC. That’s a good thing!!!!

The shot heard around the world.

RIP Bill Mazeroski. The man who hit the biggest home run in Pirates history. And World Series history. A game 7 hero. One of the greatest defensive 2nd basemen ever. And one of the kindest, welcoming people you could ever meet. We lost a great one.
Baseball is great when the Bucs are competitive.

Nothing wrong with a Tuesday or Wednesday evening at the ballpark.
... And IF you live South of the city - you can take the "T" metro tram
over to the football stadium and casino and walk to the baseball ground.

Or the tram into the city and walk across the Donald Tr-- er, ... the
Clemente bridge and there you are... ...

Griffin goes yard twice today. Listen to the crack of the bat. Raw power!

A stud
Will the Buccos try to win as much as possible now?

Or they gonna send Griffin down for a couple of months to save a year of eligibility?

... The Pirate lads surely looking pretty good in these

Well, Cruz was doing his Ray Charles imitation in Center Field, which accounted for 4 runs. But it was Skenes worst performance in his career. He wasn’t hit hard, but he didn’t have control. The new Pirates hit 3 HRs.
