Coins

Any avid coin collectors out there. Have an array of coins I’d like to sell if some advice could be offered on what to do. TIA.

How lovely
I love discussing coins. I was introduced to them by regulars who would gift them to me. Ever since then it’s been a hobby of mine. Since the industry is predominantly male, a lot of sellers tend to attempt to *run game* maybe they think I don’t know about coins because I’m young and a girl.

I’ve shopped around the whole city but this place gave the best quality and deals. Not the best area but their service is great too. They have placed gold and silver in my hands while giving me lessons on the coins and their worth. I also come here for gifts. It’s been months since I went but hopefully their service remains the same:

Gold and Silver Traders
5901 Westheimer Rd Suite C, Houston, TX 77057, United States

Also there is a really tasty run down restaurant in the corner (Fat crab) with horrible service. The drinks are beautiful and tasty though

I’m looking to sell what I have. Have a collection of mint, proof, and uncirculated coins plus other special prints dating from like 1965 thru 2019 which is when my dad stopped giving me as Christmas presents with his passing away.

When I had a small collection I was ready to part with, I went here.

I felt the offer was fair & there was no pressure to accept it.

I have to disclose that I did not shop around so I am not sure if the amount they gave me was good, bad or fair.

Stores like that only want to buy the coins with silver content or copper. Others they say only have face value.

Sets from the mint aren't worth much now with exception of silver proof sets.
Check ebay prices for comparisons. Those buy it now listings are accurate.
