tineye..does it really work?

So, recently I was told about tineye, I have gone into Vegas BP and various other Vegas sites, where I know, I absolutely know, that most of the girls posted, are fake pics! I know for sure that those agencies use stolen pics and the girls posted are not the girls working for those agencies, so, why did all of my searches come up 0 results??? Makes me wonder if tineye is really accurate! I even ran my own pics, which I know were stolen and put in various places that I did not post them and my pics came up 0 results. Has anyone really had success with tineye?

Yes and no. It is better than nothing, but it is far from perfect, or even being very good! I have also seen many ads where all the pics are obviously fake (there was one lady running ads with pics of porn star Raven Riley for months on BP/Craigslist) and Tineye never did pick up on the picture being fake. Sometimes it will only hit on one picture and not the others. I don't know how it works exactly, but it is not a perfected science.

It is just one tool of many to spot a fraud, and should not be relied upon as the end-all, be-all of screening instruments IMHO. Screen and get references above all else, and read reviews on sites like this for best results I think.

I use Google Images in coordination with Tineye.

What PB said. A lot of the stolen images are from amateur x-sites, so they are easy to spot.

tineye is a very powerful and useful tool. Not sure that i would say 100% of the time it works but it does help filter out the bait and switch..... especially on Backpage.

I'm glad it works. Months ago, a few ladies on the West Coast were using my professional pictures and you could even see my monogram on them which were sloppily cut/pasted. I am glad a service/site like tineye exists.
