TFF 12 reason's why People vote Democrat...

WyldemanATX's Avatar
When your "friends" cannot explain why they voted for Democrats, give them this list. They can then pick their reasons from this "TOP 12"...but make sure they can see and hear you because they might have their head up their ass...

1. I voted Democrat because I believe
oil companies' profits of 4% on a
gallon of gas are obscene, but the
government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn't.

2. I voted Democrat because I believe
the government will do a better job of
spending the money I earn than I would.

3. I voted Democrat because Freedom of
Speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.

4. I voted Democrat because I'm way
too irresponsible to own a gun, and I
know that my local police are all I
need to protect me from murderers and thieves.

5. I voted Democrat because I believe
that people who can't tell us if it
will rain on Friday can tell us that
the polar ice caps will melt away in
ten years if I don't start driving a Prius.

6. I voted Democrat because I'm not
concerned about millions of babies
being aborted so long as we keep all
death row inmates alive.

7. I voted Democrat because I think
illegal aliens have a right to free
health care, education, and Social Security benefits.

8. I voted Democrat because I believe
that business should not be allowed to
make profits for themselves. They need
to break even and give the rest away
to the government for redistribution
as the Democrats see fit.

9. I voted Democrat because I believe
liberal judges need to rewrite the
Constitution every few days to suit
some fringe kooks who would never get
their agendas past the voters.

10. I voted Democrat because I think
that it's better to pay billions to
people who hate us for their oil, but
not drill our own because it might
upset some endangered beetle or Gopher.

11. I voted Democrat because while we
live in the greatest, most wonderful
country in the world, I was promised
"HOPE AND CHANGE".

12. I voted Democrat because my head
is so firmly planted up my ass, it's
unlikely that I'll ever have another point of view
A quick google brings this up as well

1. I voted Republican because I believe
oil companies' profits of 4% on a
gallon of gas are is obscenely low, and
government taxing the same gallon of
gas at 15% is cutting into these profits.

2. I voted Republican because I believe
the government will do a better job of
spending the money for Defense projects and
Corporate welfare, while our infrastructure
environment, and safety go unregulated.

3. I voted Republican because Freedom of
Speech is fine as long Corporations are given
the same rights as people.

4. I voted Republican because I own a gun
and have a need to carry concealed it into bars,
restaurants and schools and other public places in
case I’m having a bad day.

5. I voted Republican because who cares
about the scientific evidence, the polar ice caps
aren’t melting and what does it matter if trapped
methane gases escape-Global warming my ass.

6. I voted Republican because I'm not
going to let a women make her own choices
and so what if a few innocent people are executed
on death row—it all evens out.

7. I voted Republican because I don’t think
illegal aliens have a right to free
health care, education, and Social
Security benefits despite doing work I would
never do to support our economy.

8. I voted Republican because I believe
that business should be allowed to
make profits for themselves, while outsourcing jobs
overseas, paying little or no taxes, and destroying the
middle class.

9. I voted Republican because I believe
Conservative judges need to rewrite the
Constitution every few days to suit
some fringe kooks and Corporations who would
never get their agendas past the voters.
Long live Citizens United.

10. I voted Republican because I think
that it's better to pay billions to
people who drill for oil, but not use
the lease rights they already own because
who needs pristine gulfs and natural lands.

11. I voted Republican because while we
live in the greatest, most wonderful
country in the world, I was promised
we would take our country back to Fifties,
when old, white men were in charge.

12. I voted Republican because my head
is so firmly planted up my ass, it's
unlikely that I'll ever have another
point of view.

There's another one W30: "I voted Democrat because it's easier to vote for a living, than it is to earn one."

That is a good one....

I think it is funny that the OWS people are upset that the homeless are showing up for free food. I thought the main reason for the protest is they want free stuff.

I don't like either list. I like to use independent thought on each issue, and not assign myself to any group.

The only retards among us are those that think that movement is about "free stuff".

So let's see if I got this straight. You're basically telling us that you fully support income inequality. You acknowledge and support that this inequality has grown 150% in the last 30 years, along with a 350% increase in CEO to worker salaries, while the average worker's salary has remained almost completely flat. You are also saying that you are okay with the lack of opportunity for the bottom 55% in this country, knowing full well that a college education for their children is out of reach along with a comfortable retirement. You are also perfectly comfortable that healthcare in this country is (as yet to be determined) out of reach for 16% of the population. Essentially, it's your assumption that this bottom 55% is just lazy and stupid.

Does that pretty much sum it up?

Do me a favor and give this a read and share your thoughts about it.

Man the OWS people do not even know what they are for..... If they are against corporations then they should start only buying local for everything. That means get rid of the cell phones, designer clothes, and everything else corporations bring to the masses. The only lack of opportunity is the laziness of the youth today. Who they really should be pissed at is our Government for bailing out the banks that were to big to fail. I am sorry, but a little life lesson not everyone in this world will be a success. Boo Hoo cry me a fucking river not everyone is a winner.

I'm still having a hard time figuring out who you anti-Democrats are for.

I am still wondering when liberals lost their sense of humor and non judgmental status.

Your not the first to bring up income inequality. Karl Marx was also against income inequality. Lot's of people echo the philosophy of Marxist without even realizing it. Let me explain to you what Marxism is:

The economic theory described by Marx known as Marxism focuses on the control of capital. Capital being the means of production (land, buildings, tools, materials, workers and currency). Marx saw capitalism as being socially unjust because it naturally creates an unequal distribution of wealth. Hence, the core principal behind his theory which states "from each according to his ability to each according to his need." In modern terms, this is commonly referred to as wealth redistribution. It's the mechanism in Marx’s theory he believed would promote social justice.

In order to facilitate this principal, Marx realized a strong centralized government was needed in order to control capital and it's distribution in society. There are four main economic systems under the umbrella of Marx's theory. They are Fascism, Nazism, Socialism and Communism. What are their differences? All of them follow Marx's concept of capital being controlled by the state. The differences are defined by ownership.

In a Fascist system, private ownership of capital is allowed however the government controls all aspects of use. Under Communism, the government controls capital through direct ownership of all of it. Nazism and Socialism are both hybrids in regard to ownership. Under Nazism, the government owns some corporations. The rest are controlled by heavy regulation and taxation. Socialism seeks to control capital by government ownership of major industry components such as healthcare, transportation, communication, and/or utilities. Ownership of these major industries allows government to leverage control over the rest of the economy. In order for these economic systems to exist they require a compatible political system that normally comes in the form of an oligarchy, which means ruled by a few.

These are quite different from a capitalist system where capital is both owned and controlled by the private sector. A capitalist system requires a compatible political system of limited government. A limited government allows citizens to make decisions over the use of capital. This promotes competition, which in turn promotes innovation. In a Marxist system innovation is suppressed for citizens are not rewarded for their efforts.

When government is allowed to expand and become a larger and larger portion of GDP then capitalism will eventually be replaced by one of the Marxist systems as control of capital is transferred from the private to the public sector. This is what we are currently seeing occur in our country. The question is which system do we allow to win this battle- a capitalist system which allows citizens to retain their inalienable rights or a Marxist system where these rights would no longer exist for government would control capital and therefore the lives of citizens.

Now back to these OWS people. Many of these people support the idea of some form of Marxist government/economy under the assumption of it being more fair and beneficial to the poor and middle class. This is a false assumption for when you look around the world at countries under a Marxist style system such as Cuba, China and North Korea, the people live under oppression and the only ones profiting from such a system are those who control it (the oligarchs).
