I haven't seen this flick yet but I have heard some good things about it...

However, I am posting this to ask a simple question-

If YOU had access to a Hot Tub Time Machine, when and where would you go?

Myself, I would go back to Austin in 1986- 6th street was still a fun place to hang out, Aqua Fest and the T-Bird River Fests were still around, the North vs. South Austin Town Lake tug-of-war, The Red Rose and Ziggfields (no cover and $5.00 dances!), and I'd try to see about renting a place at the old "clothing optional" apartment complex in north Austin...
Not going back, but to a cabin in the rocky mountains with Tess!

Back would probably be to the days of closing the clubs and after hours parties at night and laying on a beach blanket all day!
Ahh, I can just feel the sand under my feet! Gotta go again soon!!!!

Best line from 30 Rock recently (paraphrasing): " I have a problem with the science of Hot Tub Time Machine... A Hot Tub doesn't get hot that quickly."

With what I now, I'd go back to my college days and hit ever chick I passed up. My college ratio was 10 to 1 girls to boys, WOW.
You were able to score on 10 girls to every boy you picked up?

Just yanking your chain Griffin...I know what you meant, except where I went to school it was the inverse ratio. Plus, I'd like to be making what I'm making now when I go back.

Hmmmm, hot tub time machine....nope, I have come to like my life just as it is at this moment...live for today, tomorrow's a dream, yesterday is a memory

I would definitely take a ride back to Aqua Fest and collect those Pins! The Town Lake Tug of wars were fun to watch, enjoying Willie's 4th of July Picnics or my first experience at Hippy Hollow (before the fees started). I'd head down 6th street, pull into Beans and enjoy those Nachos Again. And wasn't there a Drive In Movie Theater off Ben White back in the 70's?

Yep Kristine, you are thinking about the old Rebel drive-in just off Burleson! The ex and I used to go park in the old IRS parking lot and "enjoy" the movie!

I'd go back to the early to mid 90's and hang out at Joy of Austin on any afternoon.
