Blog: What kind of impression does your board persona give off?

I thought about, writing about this in my blog, but figure what the heck. Let's hear what everyone thinks, (if you care to share,) but let's be civil.

As of late, (or maybe just today,) there's a few threads that "I" believe to be quite controversial. It's EXTREMELY hard for me to hold back, bit my tongue/or keep my hands from the keyboard. So, I'm reading them, and actually deleted my post for a couple reasons.
•I have "the" worst time conveying tone, so my words would probably seem harsh. (Regardless of how many smiley faces or "lol" used.)
•I dont want someone to take my words the wrong way, bcause I know I pretty direct, and straight to the point.
••The biggest reason: Im reading, and realizing the message theyre trying to convey, actually has the opposite effect...and has me questioning them (the posters with harsh words, differing thoughts, or just plain ignorance)...I try to see things from both perspectives...so just because someone disagrees doesnt make me uneasy...its some of the logic behind it. I'll say it, some will call it judging, stereotyping, or whatever.

But then it had me wondering what type of impression I give off?
I know im pretty vocal about somethings. But i wonder if people think Im always serious, not fun, a b*tch, lol what have it.

If peolpe got to meet me, I would think they would see it's not the case.
Yes, i am confident, dont tolerate disrespect, and believe "business before pleasure", but i think if most people met me...they will probably realize I'm the biggest goofball, always making fun, loyal, lol...and just big kid . (Some even question whether or not if Im really black lo)l. But dont cross me.

I apologize if anyone has ever read my posts and thought I was being rude, bitchy, or made you feel down.

What board presence do you think you give off?
Are people ever pleasantly surprised to meet you, (at say a social event)?

(I know, Im long winded. My ex usually sticks his d*ck in my mouth when I talk too much.. :::blush::
You are talking too much, now come here. Let me help...

Just kidding!

I think that I come off as an A-Hole at times. I'm usually a smartass and I love to ridicule that which I find funny. I love to prank people and don't mind when I'm pranked. What can I say, I love to laugh at other people's expense.

Never met you. Never been rubbed the wrong way by your postings.
And if it makes you feel better, I'm sure i've put my foot in my mouth due to my typing here more than you.

What presence I have? I don't know. But if we gauge how we are by our meetings with the people on the other side of the Hobby fence, than I guess people tolerate me pretty well.
I think mine says I'm happy and fun Cause I am! :P
Pepper, you are the epitome of fun! Nena, all I can say is you have rubbed me the RIGHT way on more than one occasion. I believe you come off as confident. I've never seen you come off as a B____.

I, on the other hand, have no idea how I come off. My humor is more subdued than most and may not come off well when written. Oh well, I enjoy this community and MOST of the input.

Well since I'm a tell it like it is, straight forward, not an ass kisser, no bullshit type of person when I put forth my opinions. Some Folks think my board persona is that I'm a fucking bitch. When that couldn't be further from the truth.
And since I don't give a rats ass as to what others think of my board persona as I'm not going to post my opinions in a manner that appeases them. Then they can continue to think my board persona is that of a fucking bitch. As they're opinion of me matters none.

I love who I am. I love that I can speak my mind w/o being an ass kisser like many. And I love that when I voice my opinion, I have no regrets and sleep pretty damn good at night, knowing I didn't express myself just to appease others.
So yep, that's my board persona and I love it and ain't going to change it for no one! And I've many a lovers all over the U.S. that love the way I am. A few haters don't phase me none.

In which case I'd like to point out that (if) ....

You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself
any direction you choose.
You're on your own.
And you know what you know.
And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go.

Nena - the first time we met I was pleasantly surprised by your beauty and sexy personality. You are a first class Cutie IMO.
I've pissed a few people off a time or two--and usually it has been for the very thing you reference, MsPrittiKitti. Nuance and tone, humor and sarcasm are sometimes difficult to detect in a written post. Hopefully most people like what I have to say. I suspect most people don;t really care. LOL.

Which is why I don't post super often. Lots of times I write something, then delete it and move on.

MPK, you are one of my favorite people on the board. Maybe it's because we've met a couple of times. But my impression is that you are maturing and becoming more comfortable with yourself. I like to see that. Forgive me if I am incorrect or if I am stepping over a line in saying that.

WickedMilf? There is no one else around quite like you. And that's a compliment.

KJ!!! I love this!!! Perfect thread I say!! Answer: a bit bitchy. But real. I ask this question to myself very often. I love that you posted this babe! I wouldn't want to hurt my business, so I attempt at biting my tongue. But I swear I'm a girl's girl, so REPRESENT ladies! Lol.
