I thought about, writing about this in my blog, but figure what the heck. Let's hear what everyone thinks, (if you care to share,) but let's be civil.
As of late, (or maybe just today,) there's a few threads that "I" believe to be quite controversial. It's EXTREMELY hard for me to hold back, bit my tongue/or keep my hands from the keyboard. So, I'm reading them, and actually deleted my post for a couple reasons.
•I have "the" worst time conveying tone, so my words would probably seem harsh. (Regardless of how many smiley faces or "lol" used.)
•I dont want someone to take my words the wrong way, bcause I know I pretty direct, and straight to the point.
••The biggest reason: Im reading, and realizing the message theyre trying to convey, actually has the opposite effect...and has me questioning them (the posters with harsh words, differing thoughts, or just plain ignorance)...I try to see things from both perspectives...so just because someone disagrees doesnt make me uneasy...its some of the logic behind it. I'll say it, some will call it judging, stereotyping, or whatever.
But then it had me wondering what type of impression I give off?
I know im pretty vocal about somethings. But i wonder if people think Im always serious, not fun, a b*tch, lol what have it.
If peolpe got to meet me, I would think they would see it's not the case.
Yes, i am confident, dont tolerate disrespect, and believe "business before pleasure", but i think if most people met me...they will probably realize I'm the biggest goofball, always making fun, loyal, lol...and just big kid . (Some even question whether or not if Im really black lo)l. But dont cross me.
I apologize if anyone has ever read my posts and thought I was being rude, bitchy, or made you feel down.
What board presence do you think you give off?
Are people ever pleasantly surprised to meet you, (at say a social event)?
(I know, Im long winded. My ex usually sticks his d*ck in my mouth when I talk too much.. :::blush::
