Why does my email address look like this?

Caitie,

Does it stick the extra space in everywhere on ECCIE you post it?

experiencedgirlfriend@gmail.co m

(Did it to me too.) try another one---

tigercat@gmail.com
experiencedGF@gmail.com
tigercatmissescaitie@gmail.com
tigercatmissescaitie123456@gma il.com

Guess it doesn't like gmail, but it allowed it with my shorter attempt. (Neither of these tigercat email address are valid for me, so don't bother who actually owns them, please.)

If I roll my pointer over the misprinted email address, the address that shows in the bottom left corner if my screen does not show the space, so I assume someone clicking on your email address would get it to work?

OK, that last attempt probably explains something to someone who knows something about computers.
Next interesting fact is when I received the nightly email from subscribed threads, the email addresses in this thread were all properly formatted. I will cut & paste here to see what happens.

tigercat@yahoo.com
experiencedgirlfriend@gmail.co m
tigercat@gmail.com
experiencedGF@gmail.com
tigercatmissescaitie@gmail.com

When I pull up search results (in this case, searching "caitie cattie catie") the text in the results window are also properly formatted. I will copy and paste the results here, but I don't put much value in this test as the address is not a link when displayed in the search results.

WOW! Now *that* is a surprise. I didn't expect that at all! Pretty cool that it carries the original formatting from text that doesn't display the features of the original formatting. Learn something new every day.

But... The mystery is no closer to being solved with this discovery.

Oh, and the answer to your question (above) is yes. To my knowledge, the space is included every time my address is displayed as an email link.

Try these, too:
caitiemissestiger2@gmail.com
stopmissingandstartseeing@gmai l.com

~sweetness~
All three of those links opened up an outlook window with your correct email address (experiencedgirlfriend@gmail.co m) with no spaces in them.

Didn't bother to send you a bunch of emails, you & I know how to reach each other.

It is an intriguing issue, but obviously no one else seems to care...
