Going Green In The Old Days

This is a good column. Shows how we old folks grew up greener than the younger generation. Those whippersnappers!

That is so right. Some politician told us that green was bad and we bought it. The only problem was that he and his buddies were the only one benefiting. Let's get rid of the clean water act it's a "job killer!". Clean Air act is for tree huggers! And in forty years the only place you would be able to eat a fish from would be a special fish farm. That story was right let's leave something for out great grand kids except a mess. Destroying our Enviroment isn't worth it.

Is it your goal to get the 1st page in The Sandbox covered with nothing but threads that you started?

It was the older generation who cleaned up the lakes, rivers, and highways in this country. It has always rubbed me wrong that these young people think they invented the environment. It was once said that any law could be passed if you titled it with Civil Rights. Today you can pass anything if you say it is "green".

I heard an old codger one time say that he was an active environmentalist and not an environmental activist.
