Food for Thought

I used to work with a guy who burned out of the restaurant industry. Before he quit, he ran the kitchen of a five star restaurant and could make the most amazing food. He was also a very active hobbier. He would often trade services with providers for one of his multi-course meals, and was often called back for repeat dates. From some of the meals I heard he prepared, I think it would have been cheaper for him to just pay the rate, but I guess he just liked combining what he loved to do with what he "loved to do"!

My question is... have any providers here in SA considered or accepted a trade like this? What was the meal provided? What services were traded?
