Hey I was wondering what kind of place or crowd hangs out at Funky Town. I was invited there by a group from another forum. Just want to know what to expect if I go.
80's music, stage shows, tons of people (mostly 30+ if I remember correctly). Been a while since I've been there, but it was fun.
No problem. Correction on the music tho... I think it's more like 70's to current and I guarantee you will hear "Car Wash" at least once. lol
take ear plugs, the music is LOUD
Target rich environment for divorced ladys if you got game.
Was there a couple of months ago for the first time. A friend of mine finally drug my sorry ass out to a singles club and it is definitely that. It was a Friday night and a long line out front. I fucking hate standing in lines to get into a club and would have left, but he was the driver. The line was the result of the rather slow, but very close scrutiny you get when you pay the admission fee. They only let in 2 at a time, but you get the feeling after going through it that you are going to be safe once inside. Really really big place. Target rich environment for both sexes. Age is across the spectrum. Took forever to get a drink but that might have been due to a bartender no show as I understand. Music was LOUD. It certainly looked like everyone was having a good time. I'm just not a singles bar kinda guy but if I was, it's probably as good as anything else you'll find in that neck of the woods.
