Interesting different perspective

This has been interesting to say the least, unfortunately not the least bit profitable. I had several people warn me and would love to say "I told you so" and I will accept that. I need to stick to being an indy provider for now and making 5 or 6 times as much without the investment! Photos, ads, rooms, web site for $100 commission doesn't really work. I am not about fake reviews and such. I offered a 100% satisfaction guarantee
Guys say too many NOLA local providers are old. They don't like backpage, they don't like agencies, they want spinners. So, I decide to take one for the team and start a little referral service. I recruited some great girls who filled the needs. Well, there is no such thing. You are INDY or AGENCY. Long story short, guys inquire about ladies but don't commit to appointments. SOme ladies don't pay their referral fees or show up for appointments. It's a flaky business and I don't handle flakes on either side well. Some agencies have the right concept...kidnap your escorts and hold them hostage in a motel room. You will always have someone available that way. That's not how I roll.

Callie will be advertising as an INDY soon with the same name and pics. Hopefully the mods can link her reviews. She earned it, is reliable and has the reviews to back it up. She is smart and will be fine as an INDY. I will help her in any way I can and I hope you all welcome her to the community.
I don't want her to suffer because I need to re-evaluate this decision. As I said, I am not a quitter but I DO need to focus on myself for while.

I used to work for an agency when I was in my 20's...screening/doing calls/setting appts for other girls...it was hard as hell and I would NEVER do it again!

I can't even fathom how difficult it would be to manage an agency. I agree with Dallas, do what you have to do to make YOU happy! This old broad loves ya!

First question: Is Discreet referrals closed for business right now? A temporary closing? Can guys still call for appts with the other ladies besides Callie as she is going Indy? Your avatar has a nice looking lady I am sure most of us would enjoy spending time with, is she not working?

I hear your frustration and running a new business is a lot of headaches, but in my experience if you can get through the first year, you will do fine. You are new and building a reputation, many customers are leary due to the no rep, so they call and ask. It is part of the process. When a new restaurant opens people read the articles, reviews, ask neighbors, before ever going in, it is part of the process, irritating it may be but in the long run it will be worth it, just ask Annie.

No need to hold anyone hostage and your upright business practices will pay dividends in the long run, you will attract the more responsible and eager ladies. Which in turn will pay you dividends in the end. Loyal and good workers are not always easy to find but when you find one, treat her right and she will never leave you, she takes care of you and you have a responsibility to her. My employees do not leave, because when I find a good one I pay them handsomely, and give wonderful benfits, I create a work atmosphere that is both constructive and fun. They do not leave, that simple. But my production is much higher than my competitors because I have a great team. It took me a long time to find them but I am a very Happy man in my work today because of my efforts years ago.

I agree with Outdoorsman 100% . There are many headaches along the way in creating and growing a business, but the hard work will eventually catch up and reward you. My experience with your agency was great from booking and working to set me up a date on a short notice all the way through the end of the session. I was also anxious to see some of the new girls and definitely will see Callie again. Best of luck to you !

Yes, Danielle is hot (and 40) and I was totally saying "Cha-ching". She had the attitude to match the appearance. So, here is the funny thing that was the final "OMG" moment for me. Guys, I hope nobody thinks this is a whiny thread, I am actually laughing at myself and loving Annie more and more.

I had a few appointment set for Danielle (she has to commute over an hour to get here). My naive dumb ass is thinking, ok I need to make sure this trip is worth her while, she's a keeper! Mind you, I haven't had the time or energy to work much as an INDY. I get a call from a client I hadn't seen in a while and I say, "hey, did you know I have an agency, you should see Danielle."

Apparently she won the lottery on her way to New Orleans cause she didn't call or write. Now I'm apologizing, picking up the pieces. Make arrangements to see the client I was trying to GIVE away. After a nice, hour-long session, I count my donation which included a $100 tip. I just made $400 in an easy hour and I worked four times as hard to NOT make $400 on Danielle! Heidilynn...What the F*C^ are you doing? lmao That's when I posted this thread.

I hope you appreciate my candor, perspective, and humility with a touch of sarcasm, and can laugh with me.

Discreet Referrals is temporarily closed or insane, ODM. I have thoughts of how to accomplish this in a different way. I don't like to do anything half-assed so I will bow out for the time being.

Often times men think they want what they dont have, and think they dont want what they do have. Especially with women. Indy, agency, young, mature, curvy, solid, soft, ass, boobs. There will never be a day when it is possible to please everyone. Do what is best for you first, and the rest will follow.

Going indy has been a great decision for both Heidi and myself. Since I've have to do my own bookings, verifications, hotel reservations, etc I couldn't imagine doing this for several other girls!!!! I'd go nuts. It takes a special person to run an agency. And Valium.

Unfortunately, many girls starting out don't realize the effect your reputation has on your future business. Starting up, I had no clue how any of this worked and am forever grateful to Heidi!!

I had another friend that was trying to make a go at it. Started to represent girls had a couple girls and for what ever reason they quit. If you are looking to move out of this and into the management side I think it would pay. Yes all endevors come with risks,headaches and pain in the asses but if you give up before you try you are short changing yourself you can't make that first million with out the first dollar

I have often said... it's the "intangibles " that separate the best from the rest! *Communication skills , "on-time" punctuality , respect for client's schedules , consistency , etc... all add up to create "quality" from a hobby playmate.

Managing someone else's intangibles must be an incredible PIA!!
