HOLDER AND THE MARC RICH PARDON.....

A trip down memory lane for some.......but very relevant considering the corruption taking place within the Holder DOJ.....................

Marc Rich was a very well connected democrat billionaire. A fugitive commodities trader with warrants out for his arrest. Bill Clinton was president and Holder was Clinton's deputy AGl....

In 1983, Marc Rich was indicted along with his partner, Pincus Green, and their companies on 65 counts of defrauding the I.R.S., mail fraud, tax evasion, racketeering, defrauding the Treasury and trading with the enemy. (The last of these was for an oil deal with Iran while it held American hostages.) On hearing that they were about to be prosecuted, they fled to Switzerland. For the next 17 years, Mr. Rich ducked extradition requests as well as attempts by federal marshals to arrest him in France, England, Finland and elsewhere.

Holder engineered the Rich pardon; holding secret meetings with Rich atttorney Quinn and working backchannels to secure the last minute pardon. Working against the NY State attorney's office who wanted Rich in jail for felony crimes.

Here is what the vaulted NY Times editorial page had to say about Holder's invovlement in the Rich pardon.............

"He (Holder) had the last word at Justice on clemency petitions and he saw to it that he had the only word. He brokered one of the most unjustifiable pardons that an American president has ever granted."

Clinton has sincre expressed his regrets over the pardon (but only because it has tarnished his presidency).

This guy really needs to go. I mean, seriously. Even you Obamazombies must admit that this guy is not AG material.
In the wiki article about Holder, it says that Marc Rich was represented mostly by former Cheney Chief of Staff Scooter Libby.

Cheney? Is he still not dead yet?

Yes, Libby represented Rich as many lawyers do (representing scumbags) but no one said that Libby did anything illegal which is what you are implying. So if you have evidence let's see it or withdraw your charge.
Jeez, down boy. Not implying anything. Just find it interesting that the Republican Chief of Staff of a VP was defending a hardcore Dem supporter on the lam.
