HELLO NOLA! Brooklyn's first time.

Hello All!
I would like to say that this Mardi Gras will be my very first ever in town!!!!
I would love to meet some new providers and hobbyists while I'm here... so I can have an excuse to come back
I'm a 22 year old college girl from Texas. I am half brazilian, and very very interested in the deep rich culture on parade this week.
Can anyone tell me your favorite places during Mardi Gras?

I love love love Mardi Gras...I live on the parade route so I hang out on St Charles to catch great beads & goodies.....easy access to food aND THE BATHROOM{LOL}........if ya wanna experience Mardi Gras in a true New Orleans style,ya gotta dress for the occassion too....the flashier the better!

There are a few renegade parades that I will march in too...like the "Box of Wine" parade!

Then cruise Bourbon Street and the gay district for some real partying!

have fun sugar!!!

I agree with Dallas that you really cant go wrong on St.Charles Ave between Napoleon and Amelia St. by Superior Grill (Great Margaritas) for a parade. Most of the cities parades run that route, its more college coed oriented than Canal. Or down Napoleon to Tchoupitoulas St. which is more family oriented. If you really want to get loose looks like you should hang out with Dallas. Looks like she knows exactly where to go.
