Her National Anthem at Super Bowl XXV (Bills vs Giants) was one of the best renditions of all times.

A real tragedy! But then there are so many that go that are unreported and without the fan fare of the Whitney Houston's, Jimmy Hendrixes, The Bonn Scott's, etc ... its a shame when the candle burns out prematurely!

OSD, I agree with you.I have always thought that she was a strikingly beautiful woman, great smile, and the most amazing voice that I have ever heard. I am a long time fan of Dolly Parton and watched Dolly's weekly TV show many, many years ago. Dolly Parton closed her show every week with the beautiful song that she wrote " I Will Always Love You. " Whitney sang that song in her movie " The Bodyguard " with Kevin Costner. I still get chills each and every time I hear her sing it.

Another specatular performer who, on the verge of kicking the habit and making a comeback, is lost to us. Whitney was a beautiful woman with a voice to match.
