Setting aside speculation as to why he did it, it does seem odd. I'm trying to remember any celebrity that was honored with flags at half-mast...much less celebrities with the public problems Ms. Houston had over the last 12 or 15 years. I'm not against it, it just seems somewhat over the top for a singer, no matter how popular. Seems like the half-mast thing ought to be more about public service, not famous entertainers. Yes it is sad the issues the WH went through in her past but geez, this is not uncommon for a human to have an addiction and die from it. I am tired of hearing about her misfortunes when she did this to herself just like others with addictions. Then to have flags lowered, news stations alerting the public on her funeral arrangements and such is kinda sickening.
