That one reminds me of Zachary Swan when he was flying a load from South America in a old B-17 (I think that was the plane) over Eglin coasting around a hurricane and having fighters scrambled on him. He feined radio failure and the fighters left him alone (since they couldn't fly slow enough.)

Poor dumb bastard. He probably flew that route thousands of times and never had a problem.
I wonder why he didn't respond to the first attempts at communication. Why wait for the fighter jets to be dispatched.
