Just for fun

The following email I got is interesting and thought provoking. So here is the game. There absolute proof that Obama was not born in the United States. The US Supreme Court reviews all particular documents and decides by a vote of 7-0 (2 recusals) that the proof is real. What happens now? For the trolls this is an exercise in thinking, knowledge of the law (constitution), and some insight into your own character. Any claims that this is crap and name calling will net you no points. In fact you will be penalized (penilized). Damn, none of the photos turned out.

So Obama is not and never was an American citizen, where do we go from here?

Pathetic, you have really nothing better to do?

(*sigh*) You ever walk into a classroom and ask a question? A simple question that has no right or wrong answer. It is a question to test people's thinking skills and all you get are blank stares. After a few seconds you usually get an snide answer from the class clown who usually isn't really funny but they want the attention.

Let me make it easy (FYI: I have no religion). If Obama were found to be a non-citizen beyound all doubt what happens next? Does he have to be impeached? Some would say that he does not because he was never qualified for the job. Others would want to cross the Ts and dot the Is. Since he was not qualified to run, who is president? The VP? He would not be VP since he won't have been choosen. The Speaker? The only real elected official. What about a challenger during a primary? Do they have some recourse from a fraud? What about all the appointments, nominations, and executive orders signed into law? Are they valid?

The VP
no recourse
apts, noms, etc ... status quo

Actually this is more like a law school exercise. I think it is fear that keeps people from talking about it. The people on the right are afraid that they will be called names and the people on the left are afraid that they might have to take a stand that will haunt them.

If Obama were found to be a non-native born person then;
I don't believe impeachment is necessary. He is just no longer the president. Like a defendant in a criminal case where someone else confesses under oath in the courtroom. The judge just dismisses the charges and releases the defendant. Everyone who took orders from the president would now take orders from Joe Biden. The Secret Service would ask Mr. Obama to leave the premises.

Now the fun begins; the GOP could file an injunction challenging the results of the 2008 election since the people elected Obama and not Biden. They would charge that Biden is not eligible to be president since, without Obama, he would not be elected.

The Hillary campaign could file a similar injunction describing her as the official democrat candidate and since the democrats won the election, she should be president.

Would they allow Biden to take the oath of office since that would make him the president?

Would Congress intervene to make Boehner the president since he is the only untainted, elected official?

What about every official action or order taken by Obama? Could they be reversed? We can't get the money back but maybe GM can be taken back from the Unions.

We have two Supreme Court justices that would have to be removed.
Every cabinet officer would be removed.

The Czars were never offical and never subject to Senate approval. Can we just shoot them?

What about the multi-million dollars of campaign cash raised by Obama?

After Mr. Obama gets back to Chicago should he be prosecuted for fraud? If he knew he was not native born then he is guilty of a crime.

Should the leaders of the democratic party by indicted for not doing due diligence in vetting Obama?

If found guilty how do you punish the guilty; imprisonment, revocation of rights, massive fines, or the proverbial slap on the wrist?

There is no moral but you kind of have to take a stand on what you think is right and wrong. If you say that a president, or elected official, that commits perjury should be impeached and then your guy gets nailed for lying under oath what do you do? Stand for right or blow off the law because it is your guy? It was the GOP who convinced Nixon it was time to go but the democrats surrounded Clinton and protected him. Nixon was never indicted or impeached whereas Clinton was impeached and found guilty of perjury.

Other than your premise is full of prunes since the infamous birth certificate in question has been porven over and over to exist, you do give all the birther idiots a nice fantasy.

Of course, you ignore context where it doesn't fit your prefabricated presumption. For example, yes ol Tricky Dick was never impeached before he RESIGNED. Naturally, the fact that the impeachment hearing was going on, I'm sure, is just a small, insignificant technicality. Plus, you shouldn't forget that Sam Ervin and a whole load of Senate ahd House Republicans were doing a lot more than whispering in Nixon's ear that it was time to get out of Dodge. And since you are going there about Nixon and Clinton, please note that impeachment is the bringing of charges of high crimes and misdemeanors. There has to be a trial in the Senate and a vote for removal before the POTUS is shown the door.

To engage with you in these delusions "just as an exercise" and something "fun" to do, gives you and your simplistic postulation a lot more than you and it brings.

God Damn , this passes as thought provoking nowdays?

No fucking wonder our educational system is in the mess it is.

JD, news flash, Nixon resigned because he was going to be impeached if he didn't, Clinton did not resign because they did not have the votes to impeach him. It is all about the votes. So save your holier than thou speech for those ignorant freshmen you are trying to brainwash.

Your problem on here is that we are grown ass men/women that have real life experience. This make believe shit does not work on us.

Did JD's post make head explode? it shouldn't have, but apparently it did.

to those attacking JD for his poorly stated what if post, set aside your biases and answer JD's exercise in thought honestly.

his post is nothing more than a what if excerise and should be treated as such without any kind of disdain or insults.

With an election around the corner the 'what if' scenario takes on less provocation for past events, than one for the future election. If you suddenly removed Obama from the equation, it would definitely make for an interesting year.
