Something Allie said in another thread seems pretty relevant. As she pointed out, her name is on everything. Her handle, P411, email. So when she asks for a ref I know immediately who it is. It would SUPER helpful all providers did this lol. I'm a little guilty of this as well, I chose SillyGirl when I knew I was going to be changing the name I used at EF and I didn't know what I was going to use.
But this is JUST as important with the guys. If you are going to use an alias then stick with it. STOP CHANGING YOUR FROM NAME ON YOUR EMAIL, if the first email comes from Jack Sack then the next comes from Big Bob I'm not going to be able to follow the conversation on my phone and it gets very confusing in my email. If you are going to be screened through employment verification don't fill out the contact form with a fake name. Because when you email me from your work address (really? I would not recommend this EVER) with your actual info I have no idea who you are.
Did you contact me on P411? Say that when you email me at my regular address! Using the name YOU chose on your P411 page as your preferred name. If I know you on P411 as hungnhorny then I get an email from Matt I don't know who you are.
I know we do a lot of threads that are all "do this, don't do that" but sometimes I feel like a great many people make shit way more complicated than it has to be. If you are honest and ethical you shouldn't need to constantly change your name/persona. And this applies to both sides of the hobby.
No one is perfect, but we can certainly work towards it.
